Generations Homecare System Introduces New COVID-19 Vaccination Tracking

The all-in-one homecare software system provides homecare agencies around the world with a tool by which to track caregivers and care recipients by vaccination status.

Mt. Pleasant, MI, January 20, 2021 – Today, Generations Homecare System announced COVID-19 vaccination tracking for homecare agencies. The new feature helps agency administrators track the vaccination status of caregivers and care recipients, enabling them to safely schedule and customize care. Vaccination tracking is the latest feature added to the industry-leading homecare software application.

Generations COVID-19 Vaccination Tracking is part of a suite of solutions developed in direct response to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

“With the release of vaccination tracking, homecare administrators have an incredibly useful tool for managing care delivery during the COVID-19 public health emergency,”, stated Lance Ferden, Generations Homecare System Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Benefits of the Generations COVID-19 Vaccination Tracking Tool for Homecare Agency Administrators

Benefits of the new functionality for homecare agency administrators include:

  • Agency administrators have an at-a-glance-view of the vaccination status and vaccination details (i.e. type, date of first vaccination and date of second vaccination) of those they employ (caregivers) and of those for whom they provide care (care recipients)
  • Agency administrators can search the database of caregivers in Generations by vaccination status when assigning care for their clients
  • Vaccination status and vaccination details of caregivers and clients can be viewed as a report in Generations for internal purposes

Generations COVID-19 Vaccination Tracking also includes functionality that enables agency administrators to upload vaccination cards for both caregivers and care recipients.

“At this time, agencies are not required to mandate vaccinations for caregivers, care recipients and their families may wish to request care be delivered by caregivers who have been vaccinated. The Generations COVID-19 Vaccination Tracking tool will help administrators pair vaccinated caregivers with care recipients as requested. This is especially useful when scheduling care for high-risk individuals and those who are immunocompromised,” explained Lisa Ferden, Generations Homecare System Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. “The ability to request caregivers by vaccination status gives care recipients and their families greater ownership over their care plans, as well as peace of mind in these socially-distanced times,” she added.
